Meet the Founder
Olukayode Oluyori
PhD in Economics · Ordained Pastor · English Language Teacher · Kursk, Russia
I arrived in Kursk, Russia in December 2009 as an international student from Lagos, Nigeria — with very little in my pocket but a determination to build something meaningful. What started as a personal journey through Russian academia became a 15-year deep immersion into the city, its universities, its culture and its people.
Over the years I completed a Bachelor's degree in Management, a Specialist degree, switched to Economics for my Master's, and earned my PhD in Economics in 2021. I have been living, studying and working in Kursk ever since.
Today I serve as an ordained pastor and work as an English language teacher, helping students across proficiency levels. My roots in Nigeria and my life in Russia have given me a unique perspective — I understand exactly what it feels like to arrive in a foreign country as a student, and I know every step of what it takes to succeed here.
That's why I founded StudKursk.
Why StudKursk Exists

Over the years I have watched too many students fall victim to so-called "agencies" that promise everything and deliver very little. Students pay heavily, receive poor guidance, face visa rejections, and arrive in Russia completely unprepared — sometimes with no one to receive them, no housing arranged, and no understanding of what comes next.
I built StudKursk to change that. Not just another agency that collects fees and disappears — but a genuine, end-to-end support system built by someone who has lived this journey himself.
From the moment you choose a university to the day you settle into your dormitory and beyond — I am with you every step of the way. I handle your invitation letter, guide your visa process, pick you up from the airport, help with migration registration, and continue to provide orientation and personal counselling throughout your studies in Kursk.
